Dupont wheel cleaner?

Anyone ever use this product? I was at advance picking up some stuff and they had the sale bin out. I picked up a BIG bottle of wheels cleaner for $3. I figured it couldnt hurt since it was so cheap, and I didnt have a wheel cleaner. I usually just use the car wash with my Megs wheel brush..

Anyway, this stuff says its safe for anything.. Clear coated to bare aluminum..

I also picked up a bottle of eagle one QD. It was onsale for $5. I told the guy that wasnt really a sale and he took another dollar off. It was also a big bottle.

DUPONT

I just picked some up at my local Advance Auto parts store for $1.98 Clearance! I don't normally use wheel cleaners, but in the winter when I use touchless wash stations it is nice to spray on my winter wheels before I go in. It seemed to do a good job- wheels came out almost perfect after going almost 1 month without a wash.

I also picked up some Eagle One bucketless wash on clearance. I use this to pre-soak the car before going into the touchless as well.

$2?!?!?! I got ripped off! Even with the extra $1 off! Is yours the 32oz?

I was looking at that Eagle one bucket-less stuff on the Internet. Wonder how is works if you just use MF's with it? Think it would compare to QEW?

It is not as good as QEW, the directions actually require you to prep the car by getting it wet (hosing it down) so it kinda defeats the purpose...If I already have the hose out I might as well finish the job using it. IIRC a few autopians reviewed it awhile back and it was not as good as QEW or ONR. But for pretreating for a touchless wash it works very well. Instead of rolling out with a film still on my car, it came out almost as good as a hand wash (which is good enough for me when it is going to snow again that week)

Its absolute junk. I work at Advance Auto and will not let people leave with this stuff. When compared to A2Z its night and day.

Dupont makes some quality stuff, but they really failed with this wheel cleaner.

well crap.. I was hoping that i had gotten something that would be good since I got it cheap. Ive not gotten around to using it yet. Im at school. :wall

Ive always liked the A2Z. But Ive not been able to find it anymore. The guy told me they just changed the bottle, but when I got home, I noticed its not safe for certain rims. :hmph:
