This wheel cleaner is often on sale for just $5 a bottle, so I tried it out on an Audi A6. First I tried just spraying on and rinsing off after a 3 minute dwell time (it changed color almost immediately, but they recommend letting it sit for 3-5 minutes).
Here is the wheel to begin with. I used the back wheel (less brake dust) to give it the best chance of success.

After 3 minutes

After rinsing with just a garden hose.

After agitation

And it worked just as well on the front wheels too with minimal agitation.

Overall it is very good. I compared quite a few color changing wheel cleaners and I found Iron X and Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner to be the most effective with no agitation out of all of them, but I think DUB would come up next, it is excellent. Also, besides Adam's it is the least offensive in terms of odor. With that said, DUB's scent does not linger around at all. It also clings to the wheel pretty well. Definitely worth a try, it is cheap and can be purchased locally.
