Du Pont Polishes

I just used the DuPont Ultra Spray Wax (Biglots bargain; $3.00 for a $10 product).

Its not *really* a spray wax. More like a thick gelatinous product that happens to be pumpable through the sprayer. Still have to spread it thin and buff off.

Easy on; easy off; keep it thin.

Not as "ultra glossy" as they make it sound; but it is nice and slick. Very good reflections, nice wetness, does not accentuate nor mute metallic (Camry, seafoam green met). None/very light filling ability; No cleaning ability.

I put it on the gf's Camry; it sits outside 24/7 and she never washes it. I likely won't see it for a month; so we'll see how durability goes.

In hindsight; they had the ION for the same price...probably should have gone with it for entertainment purposes.

My first DuPont product was #7 car wax, about 40 years ago. They were the originators of "Rain Dance" in 1975. Currently, I tried their "Teflon Ultra Car Wax" (the liquid - not the spray) side-by-side next to Megs 26 yellow. #26 looked more reflective, but as far as durability goes, the DuPont product held up just as long as the Megs product. Of course, it isn't really "Teflon" like what is on your cookware surface. But DuPont owns that name so they use it to suggest a "non-stick surface". Ironicly, it wasn't any more "non-stick" than the #26.
