I`ve only played around with and crashed cheap camera-less drones. The video quality a DJI Phantom 4 produces is amazing. I`m guessing you`ve seen the new offerings from both GoPro (Karma) and DJI (Mavic)? Both look like they`ll be fun to play with.

Yeah, those both look incredible. It`d be touch to choose between the two. The smaller size of the Mavic is great, but I love that the karma has the hand held gimbal (plus I already have a GoPro 4)

My Friend got the Phantom 4 about a month ago, he is addicted to using it. He started a new hobby amateur photography and this is hobby an extension on that hobby. Loves taking still shots from his video.

For me, videos like that are the best reason to pick up a drone/ make it a hobby. But it also means having a view worth photographing - not sure I have that! Casey Neistat on YouTube did a review of the new Mavic yesterday:

The Mavic Pro looks to be the bees knees. I could throw that baby in my backpack on our snowmobile trips and get some really cool footage up in the U.P.

Just saw the new Mavic video this morning and the karma last week. Even though I have a GoPro Hero 4, I would lend toward buying a Mavic (if/when I have money). For now I want to see how durable these two drones are

Sub`d. I have had the itch for a drone as well. Just what I need another hobby! Lol. I`m not sure which one I would like to have, but it looks like it could be a ton of fun. I love the idea of the GoPro and the included gimbal.
