Dreaming of... a Zaino Waterless Wash!

It dawned on me last night while waterless washing my car how excellent would if be if Zaino came out with a waterless/rinseless wash! :idea

Wouldn't it be excellent that instead of leaving DP, QEW or ONR polymers on the car there would be Zaino polymers to complement the other Zaino products on the surface, or the QDs that would be applied afterward?

It seems like this is about the only gap in Sal's product line, and with the growing popularity of waterless washes, not to mention Z usage in general, I bet it would be a hit.

Nah, i think more people are stepping off the Z wagon than getting on.

Also there is more of a gap in his line up than a waterless wash.

Not sure how many people trust these waterless washes. They sure don't touch "my" paint "unless" it is winter and I'm snowed in and I am planning a major polishng session afterwards. Call me "old school" when comes to washing my vehicles.:cooleek:

Our weather is too mild to not wait for a nice day and perform a full-monty car wash.

I "do" use QEW as a clay lube.:up

I agree with you on this...But I still definately use some of his products...But with more and more coming out each day, it makes it hard to be brand loyal

I use Z10 Leather in a Bottle and Z16 Perfect Tire Gloss and am a big fan of both of those. I also plan to try their Z9 leather cleaner and Z18 clay soon, but that's it really. As great as the Zaino show car polishes are supposed to be, I just don't have room in my life (time-wise) or in my shelf/cabinets to hold another line of paint-protection products.

I've got too much already.:hairpull

If you like Z10 and Z16 you will like the Z polishes. Than you would move the others off the self and move them to the basement ( I know I did).:lol

I am sure he will be filling in the gaps very soon. I am a very hard person to please as far as quality as I am a very anal retentive person when it comes to perfect finishes. Zaino has delivered very high quality products and has made my intense prep glow with intensity. Plus just knowing that all my hard prep work is protected by that hard vibrant shell makes me at relief in knowing that it is well protected for a long time and with proper maintainence it will stay like that. I am now confident charging $200 to $400 for an exterior prep knowing it has Zaino on it and it is going to last and not wash off.

I was a person who literally spent $100 a week for many years trying new sealants, waxes, compounds, polishes, and etc. After I bought the whole kit and tried it on a car that I detailed, I was beyond impressed with the outcome. 15 years of detailing with hard prep has never looked or lasted this good ever.

I am sure there will be a lot more products to come from Zaino...I can't wait! I am sure most of us can't wait neither!:woot2:

Zaino waterless wash... 50$ 8oz. bottle hahaha ;)

Good one!

blkZ28Conv - I don't disagree with you, however, there are more and more posters that are expressing satisfaction with this type of product. I was exceptionally skeptical until a few months ago and now I swear by it. If a little TLC is used, as well as sticking to good techniques (dual buckets, using plenty of mitts/MFs, etc) then little to no marring will occur. In these last few months I bet I've done 2 hose washes and about 10 to 12 waterless washes and the condition of the car is still as swirl free as it was before winter time.

This is not my cure all to a dirty car, but when there is little time or I can't park the car outside the garage it is a viable alternative (for me) to a hose wash. I still bathe my car in water and soap as I can.

Hi Docker,

I am just being an old fart. ;). I'm sure QEW/ONR type products work well and if Sal made one I'm positive it would be a top-shelf product. Maybe a little CS type ingredient that would give "real" protection after a washless wash.

I'm game to try it if Sal made a waterless wash.:hifive:

My testing, brief though it may be so far, Zaino is perfectly compatible with ONR. Now that I have a few more Zaino products to try, I will see if the trend continues.

I am not sure how I feel about ONR. I bought ONR, actually I bought all the optimum products to try. I used ONR a couple of times on my wifes van and my truck. it worked pretty good. I am still not sure I would use it on my car because Iam an old fart too.

I don't mind washing my car the old fashioned way. Actually I enjoy washing my car, I guess if I was volume detailer I would think other wise as time is money. I would probably use it on someone elses car but not mine, but that's just me.

Don't you dudes have anything better to do than bash Zaino all the time. Do you get a dollar an insult or something :D

I don't think most of the Zaino guys who aren't on this forum would trust a waterless wash - it takes a bit leap of faith to use one, and most of the Zaino guys I've talked to at car shows are very leery of anything that could harm paint in the wrong hands - rotary polishers, etc.

I know I would use it. Living in an apartment makes it hard to always wash my car.

I didnt insult them IMO. People are seriously useing zaino less and less these days. I remember all the hype years ago and now you dont see hype about zaino like you used to.

IMO Zaino should keep it's resources on it core 'polish' They have a good product, but the competition never rests

Sales figures to support your claim?????

Zaino is a benchmark among elite detailing products. Zaino is no longer an unknown quantity requiring "hype".

Zaino now sells on its reputation as being a highest quality and hi-performing product line.

We are talking about a product like PB's Spray and Wipe right? If so, I think the extra lubricity of a QD works much better to remove dirt (and leaves a nicer shine).
