Dramatic headlight resto......and more!

So I duped my friend into the detailing realm.......he's fully locked in, he has an 04 G35 coupe, Diamond Graphite, lightly (and tastefully I might ad) modded.

He has been using Zaino for around a year, and has been more than happy with the results, however the car has never been polished......he wants to buy a PC, but wanted to try mine out first, so he came over, and fun ensued......

Here is a teaser of the before.......it was filthy!!!

Beading after two full months of Zaino with no help.

Here's my buddy playing with his new toy...(I'm a bit jealous)

The headlights look great for just one pass with polish. I wish I could get the same results on my headlights but it looks like I'll have to take the wetsanding route.

yup, one pass, orange LC pad, on 6, zapped it right out.

Actually, the funny part is that my buddy thought for sure it was on the inside! haha, he was blown away by the outcome.

Is water still being rationed up there in Fresno? Before I moved in late summer of '98, I always remembered there being a strict watering schedule.

^^ Yea we still have our water days up here based on your street address.

Spoiled Man... what part of SoCal are you located? Im in Fullerton most of the time when im in SoCal, but i go to Carlsbad and San Diego from time to time.

^^ I wouldnt doubt that since most of them drive trucks through cow crap all day. Im sure a detailing forum wouldnt be a place they would frequent. Haha

LOL that and the really hot weather. There's not much I miss about Fresno but I do miss having those family picnics at the river during the summer. Otherwise you were either stuck inside your house, at the movies or Blackbeard's, or at the mall on those hot days.

This is great to hear. I have a G too and I have that same haze on my headlights which is pretty common for G's and Z's. Until now I too thought it was on the inside. I can't wait to try polishing them, I just got a UDM.

^^ I was pretty excited about how easily it came off. It really didnt take much work and you can see how good they look now!!
