Downy spill - what would you do?

I don't think I've ever heard of this one before and I could use some help. One of my best customers spilled Downy fabric softener in the back of her 2010 Toyota Sequoia, in the far back in that carpet section. It's a spot about the size of your hand. She wiped as much of it as would come up, but there's a matted "light blue waxy" place that is hanging out like oil slick.

Any ideas?? Like Ross Perot - I'm all ears..

Was it on the removable carpet mat in the back? If so I'd just pull it out and hit it with a hose for a few minutes.

Nope, it's on a piece of trim right in front of that removable part. I'm thinking about just using plain water and a tooth brush to bring it back to a liquid and then use terry cloth towels to blot it up, maybe wet dry vac too.

I'd go straight to the wet vac and just keep with water cleansing. Might want to do it sooner rather than later, I'm not sure if Downey left long enough will deplete the carpet color?

I think this would be my approach as well. As extrabolts said, maybe do all three at once. Keep a spray bottle full of water, spray, agitate, wet vac, repeat.

My plan would be extract, APC-scrub, extract, solvent-scrub, extract, APC-scrub. extract, extract.
