Hi!
So, you have lots of previous detailing experience, or is this a "fly by the seat of your pants/jump in with both feet" kind of deal?
Thanx for the welcome
Jaysb95.
Big Leegr, I have
some detailing experience in a shop, mostly interior, engines, wheels, washes, cut polishing, etc. Haven't done much carpet dying, and limited waxing, though I enjoy polishing the most.
Most of my experience is in a paint renewal system we developed. I've gotten to know paint qualities and imperfections well as I work in the clear coat removing scratches and fading. It is fun, but tedious and tense work. I do regular detailing to meet customers, relax, get to know more and different cars, and pay for shop time as I develop skills.
So yes, I have previous experience, but yes this is a jump into deep water for me. Franchise rights came up and I grabbed them. I'm a little over my head, but not too much. A significant economic downturn a month after you open your shop doesn't help. We have a pretty small economy in PEI, with not a lot of luxury cash.
But I wanted to take a risk and blow my life savings.
Are there a lot of pros on here, or mostly weekend warriors?
