Don't want to polish

I just did a full correction on my black car a few months back. I have been using Clearkote RMG and Carnauba Moose Wax and it looks great. However, I'm ready to refresh the look because I'm noticing some slight hazing here and there but I don't want to go through the whole time consuming polish thing again. Does anybody know if Vanilla Moose has any cleaning properties that would help me clear the surface haze via P/C without having to break out my polish? Any other product recommendations would be appreciated as well.

Thanks,

Patrick

Vanilla Moose does have some cleaning ability and should be able to take out the haziness. If you have some poli-seal or any other AIO product it should do the same.

VM is high in oil content and contains some "light" abrasives. If you are working by machine, you'll end up cutting through your exisiting layers with the VM. The severity will depend on your pad selection. One thing to think about, regarding your hazing..........The hazing might be caused from the oils evaporating from the RMG/CMW. Just a thought. A refresh of the RMG/CMW combo might just do the trick.

One more thought on your dilema.........A light wash with ONR followed by some QD Spray might work for you. Try a QD that doesn't leave any protection behind........Meg's #34 or WG Instant Detail Spritz come to mind.

?? VM is a polish

it will do what you want

why do you think it is different then your regular polish?

what polish were you using?

My two polishes for this car are Menzerna SIP 3.02 and 106ff. As you know, both require working in until broken down and I just don't want to go down that road again so soon due to the amount of time it requires. Maybe I'll give the RMG and CM a refresher coat. That just might do the trick. I just remember Scottwax saying that he mixes VM with RMG and I was wondering if it was because it cleans as well as fills. Scott, please elaborate what the VM does when mixed with the RMG.

Thanks,

Patrick

Pinkmoose(RMG/VM) does just that it will combine a finishing polish with a glaze

but it still needs to be worked till it breaks down

it will save you a step if you would polish then add the glaze

but you would still be polishig

Just got off the phone with Everett from Clearkote. He told me to go right over my existing surface with the RMG and CMW again. His products are completely interchangable so there's no need to strip down and start over. I did just that and the finish looks perfect again. Clearkote really does rock.

for a refresh try FK1's machine glaze. It surprising has some cut to it but works very easily and finishes great. I find it a great alternative to using a finishing polish then glaze, as it does it all-in-one, and looks great while doing it. Works great under 2180 or 1000P.

Given that you already have the Clearkote lineup sounds like your method would work well.

hows the durability of CMW? i'm using rmg topped with exp, is the CWM on par with exp's durability on a black car? does the CMW attract alot of dust?

Recently I decided to not machine compound my car again and since there was just light marring and a few baby swirls here and there, I just went over the car with glare pro polish and permagard by hand with a german applicator pad and they have permanently filled it all in and looks perfect in the sunlight

Plus they are great sealants as well.

The most I'll do on my almost 10 year old car is machine apply Permagard or Fireglaze Plus and then Aussie Gold showroom glaze with an LC blue pad to increase depth
