I hope you will be able to see the etching in the attached photo.

How do I get rid of this?

smooth to the finish, but just wont go away. Tried vinegar already, no go there too

Hard to tell how bad the etching is on the pic but SL stated some good advice.

Remember start with the wimpy stuff and work your way to aggressive.

good luck

yeah, not a great picture. and now Im sitting here looking at it on one of my other computers and can hardly even see it on this monitor.

Well I got scratches and swirls to worry about along with it, so will be doing some work. Today I just clayed the hood followed by some polish and wax to see what was possible. Paint is not as bad as I thought it might be.

Probably some 3m will do the trick

thanks

Well, I figured it out and I aint all too happy.

After getting the car out in the sun and upon further inspection, I see that this is not etching at all, but is the clear breaking down.

Im pretty sure there is no cure for it, other then keeping it clean and waxed until it gets so bad I cant stand it right.

Then I will have to paint.

If there is something else I can do, I hope someone will let me know.

When i worked in detail shops i had the luxury of using a carpet shampoo/extractor on heavy dog hair areas such as cloth seats and carpets. But working out of my house I don't have that luxury and I can never seem to lift all of the dog hair out of seats/carpets with just my stiff brush and vacuum. What techniques do you guys use to get dog hair out of seats/carpets?

Thanks,

Michael

Get one of those clothing rollers that has sticky sheets applied to the roller. It is ment for removing lint from your clothes.
I just had a situation like this in my 3 day detail and there was dog hair everywhere.

I don't have much luck with those when the hair is embedded into the cloth.

There's a product called Furzoff that removes pet hair from carpet or upholstery, but I'll tell you something even better. Furzoff is basically a pumice stone. So, go get yourself a pumice stone and you will be amazed at what it does. If you can find one that is rougher on one side than the other, even better. I've turned several people on to this that have been amazed at how well it works. One caveat: be careful around plastic b/c it WILL scratch it.

Putting on a rubber glove and rubbing the carpet helps sometimes, something to do with the static electricity.

Diluted fabric softener has been known to help as well, however, I have not tried it yet.
