Dog Hair

OK, don't just start cringing at the thought.

Everyone knows that a trunk or back seat covered in dog hair is a nightmare to deal with no matter how many rubber brushes you have. Well, Pledge may have come up with an answer. I saw the Pledge Fabric Sweeper for Pet Hair on the shelf the other day for like $5 and thought it was worth a try.

This thing REALLY works! I cleared the rear seat and trunk area of a Volvo XC90 of almost all dog hair in about 5 minutes. I'm not talking a few pieces from a dog being in the car once or twice, I'm talking a car that had the dog in it almost as much as the owner.

Granted it's a one time use thing, but I normally charge an extra hour of labor for excessive dog hair anyway. $5 spent to help me get an extra $50 on a job is certainly worth it in my eyes, and you can buy two of them in a package for $8!!

Has anyone else tried this thing yet?

My wife bought one for the house and really likes it. Ive already told her that the 2nd one is going in my tool box.

I'll need to try this for sure. I just did a full size sierra for an owner who has a german shepherd and a husky. You can imagine the hair

Sounds like you got a very nice return for the modest investment. I have not even seen the product, but will look for it. Our Boxer provides my toughest test for pet hair removal (a short haired dauschund is probably second), not in terms of volume but the hairs themselves seem to have a "hook" which really makes you work to get them all picked up. I use the rubber brush/vac and follow with a 3m (or similar) lint roller brush and lots of patience.

Sounds a lot like the hair from our Boston Terrier and Shar Pei

We have a boxer their hairs are like porcupine needles! You almost need tweezers to get out of the carpet.

We had 3 Golden Retrievers. (2-RIP now).
So I came here looking for a fix.
The furkids and I keep shedding. :)
I'll give this a try.
I've had several vac tools. They're nozzles with a strip of velcro like fabric attached. Push it away from you on the carpet, and it picks up hair. Slide it towards you (on the carpet) and the hair comes off and gets sucked into the vacuum.

Previa van? 2 hours to do a so-so hair removal. 15 minutes with the super nozzle.

Charlot--bless him, our Rescue Golden; still alive; we don't know how old.

a pumice stone works really well too for removing dog hair. You must be careful around plastics obviously bc it is quite abrasive.

A handsome brindle Boxer there! Our girl was a Fawn, Black-Face, Soft-Eared with flashes of white. Miss her greatly.
