Does white paint fade badly?

My 13 y.o. original paint 300ZX has an eyesore of a dealer emblem on the rear that I want to remove. The only thing I'm worried about is the paint underneath the emblem not matching the rest of the car. Does white paint fade? Do you think I'll be able to notice a difference? Thanks.

It might also not be as shinny or shiner than the surrounding paint. I took off the emblems off an 8 year old green ungaraged car. I polished it and right now you can't notice that it was always there.

The surrounding paint is most likely going to be more yellow, compared to the paint under the emblem.

On a vehicle that age, make sure that the emblem is not pinned. Most were 10+ years ago... the 3m tapes used today were relatively new.
