Does this process make sense (product specific)?

Hi there,

May I please have some input on the detailing process outlined below? I think there may be some products here that have to be rearranged or deleted altogether. I'd appreciate some feedback so I don't waste time and money on something that isn't necessary.

1)wash

2)AIO

3)RMG

4)UPP

5)VM

6)NB

I'm new to using any products other than Zaino, so this is all a mystery to me. I was thinking that the proper sequence would be polish (AIO), glaze (RMG), sealant (UPP), then wax (VM and NB), but maybe this is overkill?

Also, I have a red car if that makes a difference and the paint is already in great condition.

Thanks very much!

The Vanilla Moose (VM) is a mild polish and Glaze so will remove the UPP.

Or did you mean Clearkote Carnuba Moose Wax (CMW) ?

I would do,

AIO, RMG, UPP and than Nattys Blue Myself.

You could use the VM after the AIO to clean paint up further, and the extra step may be well worth it on red.

AIO, VM, RMG, UPP and than Nattys Blue.

Some may call it over kill but hey we are Autopians, and it will look great!

Oh, I see...thanks for the clarification. For some reason I became fixated on the "Wax" part of Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze. Now I understand...it's hand glaze for their moose wax (or whatever other wax).

I think I'll try what you suggest, although I don't have money burning a hole through my pocket and would probably be better served to get as few products as possible.

I have multiple layers of Zaino on the car now. I'm thinking the AIO would be sufficient in taking this off, yes?

Thanks!

Most likely a good application of KAIO will remove any Zaino product. With the process you have planned your vehicle will look very nice.

Hope you take pictures of your vehicle for the before, during, and after shots. Having used Zaino exclusively on one of my vehicles(I should say my wife's vehicle) am wondering why the need for change? Is this the new product bug that, I and so manyothers, are afflected with? Or is it because you think that this process will top Zaino?

I'm afraid it is a case of having new product bug (new for me at least in the sense that I've never used any of these before). Zaino worked wonderfully. I have no complaints (except washing out the applicator bottles is a PITA). The thing with Zaino is I feel somewhat restricted. You can't really mix and match Zaino stuff so readily with other product lines, although I may be wrong on this point...not totally sure, just seems this way.

There are so many good quality products out there, I at least want to try them. The novelty factor is definitely at play here. I think I'm getting bored just using Zaino all the time (but I'm keeping my Z-line at the ready just in case things don't work out). Not sure if it will be better, but it might be as good. It will definitely be fun trying.

I completely understand the need to try new things. That is why I detail for others. We are a three car family now. I use the Zline for the wife's car. Zline on my truck when I am not around and the daughter's car as a test bed for other products. During the winter i am constantly trying new products on my truck as well.

Nothing wrong with what your are doing. I was just wondering. thanks for the answer to my question.
