Does Klasse AIO remove fillers, like from 3m SMR?

Yes, it definitely does, right down to bare paint. Don't follow SMR with AIO, if you want to fillers to work. Follow SMR with a glaze and wax to maximize the filling and wetness of the look.

Damnit! I guess that's why I still have swirls then huh?

Yup, that would do it. If you really want to do serious swirl removal, you need something like DACP anyway. SMR is good for very light swirls only. If you're going to use AIO afterwards, use a PC and DACP. You'll be much happier.

Yes, even though most swirl removers (and other products too) have fillers in them, as well as abrasives, it's best not to rely on them to hide swirling, which it does only minimally anway. Swirl removal is the way to go. :xyxthumbs

I think that my damage is just micro marring and towel marks. I really don't want to be abrasive on the paint at this point.

How do you get a sealant to bond to the paint when it has fillers on it? I didn't think they'd bond unless the surface was properly prepped....like with something like Klasse AIO.

The short answer is "yeah, it won't bond right", but some "sealants" are more forgiving than others. UPP (formerly Platinum) seems to work fine on top of all sorts of things, and there are others too.

joblo1978- try using a "heavy" wax like Meg's #16, or a polish with wax in it, like those from 1Z. And you could always try the "glaze under wax" method, using #3/5/7/81 from Meg's under the #16.

To overkill in between steps right before using Klasse I wipe with a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol mix even though the AIO would probably eliminate whatever fillers were there any way :o
