Does it exist: A small wand-only self-heating extractor?

Just wondering if this kind of thing exists. I really am thinking about picking one up since I'm not too happy with the results I'm getting with my Hoover SteamVac.
 
I don't know about a wand-only extractor, but Bissell has a unit that is small, portable, and self-heating. You can find it at Lowe's, many others, or on-line.



I personally use the non-self-heating model, as it was more affordable. Considering that the kitchen sink is only a few steps from the garage, it is not much of a loss for me.



I only use the extractor for removing the detergent, after I've worked it into the carpet/upholstry, and allowed it to set for a while. When used in this way, I don't know that there will be a significant difference in effectiveness with the additional temperature a self-heated unit will have.



The results that I get with the non-heated unit are very, very good.

I did a search on amazon.com and found a few products that look like they would be good for doing car interiors and are under $200. Some of them are as follows:



TriStar SB Steam Buggy Home Steam Cleaner

DeLonghi ST100P Steam It Clean Steam Cleaner

Bissell 1425R Little Green Compact Carpet Cleaner

Hoover F5411 Steamvac Jr.



Has anyone had expirence with these to see if they actually work? The most expensive and what looks like the most powerfull is the DeLonghi ST100P but I read the review and it said it was ok, but not great.



I'm looking to buy an extractor so if anyone has any suggestions then I would appreciate it. Thanks.
 
I've been using the Bissell Little Green for about a year now.



I apply the cleaner (I prefer Griot's Interior Cleaner), scrub it into the carpet/upholstry with a stiff brush, let sit, then extract using only hot water.



The results using this system were very, very good.



Using the spray shampoo/blot up method, I was never able to actually get the carpets clean, I simply managed to get them uniformly dirty.



Using the extractor, the interior really was like new.
