Does anyone polish and wax their grill?

I just purchase a new gas grill and wanted to know if anyone polishes and waxes theirs to protect it from the elements. I cook on mine year round and find the covers to be a pain to use.
 
Nope....got rid of gas grills many years ago and only use the BGE.

I have polished my shower glass doors and put glass coating on them though

The grill was my first test object when I got my first polisher. Used Ultima pgp for a lsp.
