does anyone know anything about this...

Does anyone know anything about the "WEN Random Orbital Buffer". I'm interested in purchasing one, but wanted to know if anyone has one, used one, or know any information about them.

Thanks!:p

Aren't these the el cheapo ones at WalMart and places like that? Maybe I'm thinking of a different brand...

When it comes to buffers I wouldn't skimp. The quality of machine you use is going to directly affect the quality of results. Even the best detailer in the world isn't going to be able to get the same results out of a cheap machine that they will get out of a well built and professional one. It would take a highly skilled detailer to even come close.

Cheap machines are what keep me in business in the summer. People get a buffer and then go nuts on their cars. 2 days later they call me to fix their mess. lol If you are in the market for a buffer then I suggest you look for high quality and spend the extra bucks. The results will be worth it.

Thanks for the reply!

I saw the ad for them on ebay, that's why I was wondering...lol

Does anyone have any recommendations for good high quality buffers. I'm dealing with Philadelphians here...no second chances with mistakes!:scared I'm willing to spend around hundred bucks or so. Thanks guys!

Do some research on the Porter Cable polishers. I use the 7424 and love it. You can pick one up with all the pads and everything you need for around $150. Lowe's sells them locally usually. You'll still need to get a backing plate and pads though. Its definitely a professional tool and it totally idiot proof. Unless you want to try your hand at a rotary (you aren't going to find a good one in the $100 range) then the PC 7424 is the best tool for the job.
