Does anyone else practice vacuum dusting?

Sometimes there is nothing better than just plain removing dust from every iota of your car.



I take the little narrow vacuum attachment and suck up every speck of visible dust from everything: creases in the seats, crevices in dashes, air vents, and of course everything else.



Of course you follow up with some Black Magic Dashboard protectant (semi-gloss waterbased formula).



Then you enter your car and everything is completely spotless, like the day you got your car.
 
Well... I haven't been able to detail the interior to my truck for about... 1 month :D



Full of grass but I keep a microfiber towel in the truck so the dash gets wiped down often so it is dust free.
 
BM Semi gloss is great stuff, unfortunately they stopped selling it at pepboys(the only place I have seen it). Yo Steve do you know where I can purchase it online?
 
Yep. I also have a shoe buffing brush, the type you use to remove the polish, that I use to get into the many creases that the seats and dash seem to have. Works great.

also vacuum the canvas convertible top between washing. It is amazing how a very small amount of dust can turn a black top to a greyish-black top. I'm extremely meticulous about every aspect of detailing including retaining the like-new appearance of the convertible top. The top is sealed with protectant so the dust just sits on top of the fabric and vacuums off quite easily. :cool:
 
I found a neat little vac attachment pack at Home Depot for $10.00. It has all of these tiny little brushes and attachments for getting into the crevises, vents, etc. It fits my shop vac perfect.

OOOO! I'm going to have to look for one of those today! I also like to vacuum dust the car, (works great in the house, too!) and I keep a Swiffer in the glove box, so when stopped at red-lights or for trains, I can dust everything off quickly.



My 16 year old is carrying one in his car now, too. I drove it yesterday and did his dash & vinyl while waiting in traffic! Looked great! :xyxthumbs
