This product line seems to be pretty popular over in Europe and has only come here a short while ago, but I haven't heard too much about it.

Are there any regular users of this line, and I am curious as to what there impressions are of it.

There have been a few posts but not that much.

I'm also interested Jay...I think what happened on this line it was intorduced here in the late fall and most of the detailing was about over by that point.

I'm also interested in what some find in the different waxes...there are five that I see;)

That's the odd thing there are plenty of people around the country, so it's not like everyone is in the NE or a part of the snow belt.
I'm hearing about the 70's in a number of parts of the country. To me that's real good detailing weather.

So maybe we can here from some of the warm weather people :lol2:

I think there are 9 Dave. There are 8 in the sampler, 4 hard and 4 soft, and then there is SN. SN seems to be the one that gets all of the hype, but then again, it's the most expensive.

That adds to the confusion even more then...and may contribute to the lack of sales IMO.

Still would be interested in what some have found with this product line

What is the difference between the hard wax and the soft wax, is it that the soft is easier to apply than the hard wax? The rest of it seems pretty straight forward (light color, dark color and so on)

It's not only the waxes I am curious about but the the pre-wax cleanser and the lite cleaner. Seems like 1 is chemical cleaner and one is a SMR was wondering how effective they were as well.

I have the two sample pots and I am waiting for the weather to warm up to try them. The silly weather here in NJ has not been over 40 on the weekends for quite sometime :(

i bought and used purple haze dodo wax last year when it was'nt even available here. i got it from a trader over in the uk. it's a nice wax, different in texture than what we're used to. supposedly purple haze is made for dark colors, as i said it's a nice wax, leaves a nice finish, deep gloss, but it seems to mute flakes a bit, at least it did on my electron blue. that's not a bad thing if that's what you like.

I think I can help clear up a few things about Dodo. We have had all of the waxes reviewed my customers, and so far all sounds great. There is four hard and four soft waxes. The difference is the durability, hard wax is more durable then the soft wax.

The Dodo Juice Doublewax Kit is a two-step wax process for detailers who demand shine and longevity from carnauba wax. The kit includes a Dodo Juice Doublewax Hard Wax for the bottom layer and a Dodo Juice Doublewax Soft Wax for the top layer. Two carnauba waxes equal one glossy, slick, durable finish!

First, use Dodo Juice Doublewax Hard Wax to lay down a thin, even coat of carnauba wax. The hard wax is easy to apply sparingly and it bonds to form a hard-as-rocks protective coating.

Next apply a layer of Dodo Juice Doublewax Soft Wax on top of the existing hard wax coat. (Wait 1-24 hours before doing so.) The soft wax gives the paint the desirable wet look. This wax is also carnauba-based yet in a softer, smoother consistency. Doublewax Soft Wax gives the paint improved depth and gloss, and it adds to the protection afforded by Doublewax Hard Wax.

i have spent alittle bit of time looking into the dodo line. I have the sample tube a sample pot of SN and a sample (from a freind) of the double wax. I have yet to use them. So i cannt comment on my personal opion (i know i know i really should but i will pass on what i have read/heard)

I have heard that those who like it love it and those who dont like it hate it. i have yet to read a its ok, its good. all iread is its over priced and overhyped or this is the greatest wax ever made.
it has its followers, who all seem to be very loyal.
i have also read that the way to go with dodo is either supernatural or the rubbish boy waxes. I think he has two.
They are waxes designed by the owner of rubish boys and made by dodo. Many reviews have stated thatthey are the best waxes dodo makes (plus rubish boy is know for his great shipping)

as for the precleaners (lime prime and lime prmie lite i belive) i have heard they are some great products. as far as paint cleansers go they are are easy to work with and do a great job.

As i said this is second hand knowledge but it has been the general concpet of what i have heard and read.

I hope this helps aide in the descion.

Rubbish Boy's (a vendor in the UK) created a wax which he still makes and sells as Rubbish Boy's Original Edition.

The other one is called Rubbish Boy's Juiced Edition. This is the original version of his wax that was tweaked by Dodo Juice's chemists to try and make it even better and more mainstream (Brightly coloured, scented and a softer texture).

So while you'll find the juiced edition being sold by various Dodo vendors the only place (I think) you can buy the original edition is directly from Rubbish Boy's.

The only Dodo wax I have is the Supernatural (in a) Machine Stick, but I haven't tried it yet.

Calgary is sure right about the great shipping Rubbish Boy's offer. I placed an order with them late on a Sunday night and my order arrived from the UK on the next Wednesday!

:wow:
It's taken me longer to get things from California.

over on DB he is know for his crazy quick shipping... when i did a SN GB he had the stuff to me in no time. I was amazed. Heck I knw a few people who order the regular dodo stuff from him instead of the us vendors because of how impressed they are with is service. oh and you get a hand written thank you note with your package :bigups
