I must admit I am a sucker for new and shiney....I read the dodo info and wow it sounds great - but then --- 60 bucks for wax? 50 bucks for paint clenser?

Is it really A - worth it and

B - that good?

I have no personal experience with DoDo but feel like its more hype than anything else.

Product is 10% application is 90%

I bought the 8 sample pack from Detail Image a year ago, the Hard Candy wax was the only one that impressed me at all. The rest of the line - you gotta be kidding.

A - No.

B - No.

But from my experience with the products (Blue Velvet, Purple Haze, Sour Power), their products seem to fill a significant niche in the detailing market.

I have allot of various waxes and like many people have tried the most expensive to the $24.99 range, to me and others I really cannot justify over $100.00 on wax, been there and done that, several times...the waxes are good but for the dollar amount you pay I could not really tell that great of a difference.

Now, on to the good stuff........the wax that has impressed me the most is....drum roll.....Pinnacle Liquid Souveran and the Paste Wax.........this product continues to impress me and my customers and the really cool thing is that it looks beautiful on all colors of vehicles but mainly dark colored cars.....this has been my go to wax for the past year and a half. I absolutely Love this product, I would put it up against any other waxes out there.

Dodo Juice makes great waxes they offer a full line of soft waxes and hard waxes for light colored vehicles and dark colored vehicles. The Supernatural is there best wax. Dodo Juice does offer 30 ml. sample size jars of there waxes. This is a great way to sample there wax.

Holy crap, Autogeek is here too.

Seriously though, at the very least, the Dodo waxes offer amazingly good durability, especially for being beauty carnauba waxes.

Durability? Really? compared to what? I never got more than a few weeks out of any of them and that was just with weekly washes with DG. My gripe with them is that the consistancy of some like Light Fantastic is like peanut butter, the cheap kind and Blue Velvet was like clumpy goo. I've got my tried and true carnubas that I use occasionally, like Megs 16, Blackfire Midnight Sun (think Souveran with duribilty) CG's 50-50 and Pete's 53. But 99% of the time I'm reaching for Blackfire Wet Diamond, and yes, tried Zaino and wouldn't go back if it was free.

as far as im concerned i dont see too much point in paying any more than $50 for a wax in any form regardless of how its made or what concentration it is listed at etc ...

anything between $30 and $60 should be sufficient in quality at least 90% of your detailing requirements ...

I am using P21s concours look paste wax and it does a pretty good job so far .

waxing is only as good as the paint prep work done before hand to achieve picture perfect results ...

EG. a $100 wax will not look like $100 if you cut corners in your prep work .. etc

i really could'nt say it better. prep, prep, prep. that's the name of the game. you don't put a band aid on a dirty cut.

I agree.
And the P21s leaves a very nice wet looking shine.

Since I don't want to PO are sponsors I shall refrain from commenting on my thoughts about buying high end wax. :surrender

This summer I bought the sampler of Supernatural and applied it by hand then buffed it with my plushest microfiber (the Shamrock). The shine was absolutely spectacular and I couldn't believe how many heads turned as I cruised through town in the Imola red M Coupe.
I still have a few applications left (small sampler and small car) and I'm seriously contemplating a tub of the Supernatural when the sampler runs out.
So, based on my one contact with the Dodo line, I'm impressed so far.

I have been a fan of Dodo Juice for a long time, I know Dom and PJ (the guys behind Dodo Juice) very well, their ethos behind the business is to provide products which could rival the higher end brands but at a low cost. They are very enthusiastic about their business (PJ baing the face of Dodo Juice and some might have seen the the detail fest early this year) and extremely knowledgeable in the detailing business (Dom being a marketing genius). Dodo Juice is there for a certain market, within the UK they fill that void very well and with their funky colours and scents they attract all different kinds of folk, but whats better they give someone who is not into detailing, something exciting for their car.

You have the colour charged waxes, people say it does not work, Dom has done tests to prove that it does work. I got into Dodo Juice when I first used a jar of Orange Crush on my mk3 Golf and to me, it made a massive difference, gave a lot more depth to the paint, pics below:

The I got Light Fantastic to use on a silver car, to me it gave the silver more of a warmth look:

Both of the colour charge waxes are gritty to feel, and both are soft waxes.

Supernatural is a hard wax, unscented and a pure wax. I have used this on many details i have carried out and have had excellent results in not only in apperence but durability, giving up to 8 months in some cases. Supernatural is very hard wax, not gritty (im using the Ikon tub, wooden box), very easy to apply and remove. some results from Supernatural:

beading shot taking for a golf i worked on finished with Supernatural:

Then there are the likes of the hybrid waxes, i used Purple Haze Pro, for me on lighter cars i used Supernatural and on darker cars PH Pro. I had heard lots a excellent reviews on this so gave it a try and loved it, really loved it. The gloss enhancement and beading, sheeting is amazing, very easy to apply and to buff off. The only pics i have of it in use is on my van it was topped up a few hours later with Dodo Juice Red Mist, ill post but if there is any issues with that then a mod is ok to remove this:

I hope i have shown something about what Dodo Juice as a product can achieve.....

I have used and loved the P21S Concourse wax. Easy on/off great feel, slickness and look..my only issue is that the beading and slickness fell off in like 3 weeks. To me its just a summer wax when i dont mind adding a coat every 2-3 weeks. I would never make it through a NY winter. Does your experience differ. Last winter I used Ultima and it lasted almost a winter. Thinking of giving the PB sealant a try this winter. i just love the WOWA Ultima for easy of use. I must be getting lazy.

Anyone hear of a WOWA swirl remover?
