Does the Dodge Charger have a soft or hard Clear coat? I seam to be getting swirles on my car and I am very carefull during it's weekly cleaning.

Here is what I use.

Microfiber mit, seprate Mit for the bottom of the car

Zymol Car soap

Absorber to dry( Just recieved WW from CG)will be using it from now on.

I wax every 2 weeks

I don't remember the paint being particularly soft or anything...I'd guess middle-of-the road (if anything, toward the harder side). But no matter if hard or soft, paint scratches easily. Shoot, add a few bonded contaminents here and there, and you're surely adding more swirls than necessary by waxing so often - the more you rub your paint, the more it will marr (owners of black cars learn this lesson well). And it's a good thing you got some new WWs, because that Absorber is WORTHLESS and definitely increasing wash-induced marring.

MF Washmitts are HORRIBLE! Every bit of dirt that is on your car gets rubbed into the paint. Microfiber is great because it clings onto all dirt.... But when you wash you want to let the dirt go into your bucket, not stay on the mitt!

Another part of the problem might be the Absorber. A lot of folks her prefer WW towels to dry since they have a bit of nap to hold any contaminents that might be on the surface of the paint when you're rubbing to dry to help keep them away from the paint surface.

Is using somthing like say FK1-425 or Adams detail spray after every wash better then waxing every 2 weeks?

Not much different (scratch-wise). Again, the more you rub your paint, the more marring you will get, though taking precautions will keep this to a minimum. I believe your time is better spent performing a complete detail (clay, polish, & wax) more frequently (like every 4 months). I personally don't see the point in waxing twice a month.
