Do you wring out MFs?

This has just bugged me for the longest time because I will occasionally use a few MFs for drying if all my other methods are not available, and when I need to dry em out I end up wringing them which seems to stretch them out and ruin the evenness of the pile.

Seems like everyone has converted to using WWs, which would make me think that MFs are then pushed to dry-only applications, so this issue may not be big to everyone.

I'll buy some MFs and after a month of use it's like they're 20% larger than they used to be and they feel a lot thinner and less plush.

I wring mine out sometimes, but I don't wring them too hard, because of what you describe. It seems like the towel is damaged or something, when you wring them out real tightly.

WW MF are really hard to wring out (to my satisfaction ) once they are saturated. I have enough MFs, so I just use another one. Takes me 2 WW MFs to dry my car, since I hate using WW MF when they are saturated and leaving behind streaks of water (I don't want to have to overlap too often). Sometimes I use a 3rd MF.

Then I use another MF to QD the horizontal surfaces (lots of dirt/dust where I live).

And I still have tons of MF towels available if I need them. So I would just switch out the MFs when they get saturated.

Peace.

Zoom, were you referring to WW MFs or just regular MF buffing towels? FYI, I was referring to ordinary MF towels, not WWs.

i never wring out any of my microfibers, as i don't want the stretching to affect the tight knit threads and possibly ruining them. i may squeeze them lightly, but that's about it. then they go right into the washer...
