Do you QD after?

Do you QD after you polish because there's so much dust do you just use a MF towel to wipe all the dust off? I know driving at 75/80 mph for 10min doesn't get rid of all the dust.

Ill be using Menzerna soon.

Dust, dust and more dust. That's my experiences with menz ip at least. I wear a particle mask sometimes, that's how much it dusts on me. But i love the results i get with it.

yea but all of the corrective products dust. So is washing the best solution since? I live in an apt so it's not easy for me to wash my car.

Actually - Optimum Polish has pretty good corrective abilities for a non-compound and it does not dust much at all. Just a quick wipe with a QD and a MF towel after using OP and you'll be good to go - no washing necessary IMO.

Rubbing compounds and polishes ARE dust. The liquid is merely a "solvent" medium used to distribute the dust, and usually evaporates quickly. If you are going to do more than wax your car, you will likely be producing dust. Don't forget to tape off the seams of your engine bay. Dust gets everywhere under the hood.

cool thanks for that tip. ok i guess i should focus my question a bit more. would QD after polish be SAFE or would i just be marring up my paint again?

It's safe. I actually use QD to remove the residue from polishes/levelers. I'll polish a panel, spritz on some QD over the residue then buff off w/mf towel. Not only does it reduce/eliminate the dusting, it makes the residue easier to buff off too.

Not true. I used HTEC and OP on a black Lexus a couple weekends ago and got no dusting. I used the same combo on my car this past weekend, same result. VM doesn't dust either.

No need to wash after polishing, IMO. If the car i'm doing does get dusty then I'll just give the panel a few whacks with a mf towel and the dust is gone, then I'll proceed.

menzerna ip and fp2 dusts on me like crazy too, even if i spray a little QD. i was about to sell my remaining stock, but i think i'll just practice more.
