Do you let AIO Cure?

I was reading some of the recent threads about AIO.

Question: For those of you who follow AIO with a wax or sealant, do you give the AIO 12-24 hrs. to cure?

In David B.'s Perfect Shine discussion, it appears he immediately applies the carnauba topper. Would this remove some of the AIO protection?

As soon as it hazes, remove it. There is no "cure" time for AIO, and I personally dont place much faith in it "protective" qualities, but it is a mighty paint paint cleaning product!

6cyl's of fury,

Thanks for the reply. I was primarily looking for some sealant protection under a carnauba topper and cannot wait overnight for curing.

Any suggestions on other products/combos?....would EX-P immediately topped with Natty's work....or would the carnauba remove most of the sealant.

I guess Z5 using the ZFX would cure immediatlely.

Anything that is going to give you any worthwhile protection ( IMO ) is going to need time to cure. Even the Z% will need to be allowed to cure, the ZFX speeds up the hazing of the product I think(?) but not necessarily the curing. Good things come to those who wait ;)

But EX-P or WG is very easy to apply ( and not as "labour intensive" as Klasse or Zaino ) and then it would be no biggie to add a coat of Natty's or whatever the next day after a quick QD.

BUT having said all that, if you maintain the upkeep of your wax every 3 or 4 weeks, then the sealant protection is a mute point. It isnt protecting anything, the wax is. :)

6cyl's of fury,

good point....if carnauba is the topper choice and upkeep is done frequently....the sealant can become a moot point?

P.S. I do believe the ZFX is an accelerator to quickly harden the sealant and allow 2-3 coats of Z to be applied back to back.
