On a side note, I always tape off my rubber trim with 3M tape. I have very little of it so it's quick. It allows me to cut right to the edge (and overlap on to the tape) where the rubber meets the paint with a tight perfect coat of polish / wax. I peel off when done and glide on "Black Again." Perfecto!
I have an older car, where the plastic/vinyl/rubber trim around the windows have become worn and and kinda rough in areas. When I polished my car last summer the rough texture of the trim trapped some of my SMR (light) polish in it. I was hard to get it out.
