I got asked today from a buddy (who's '88 Cobra I was detailing) what the difference between wet sanding and color sanding is. I'm assuming it's this:
wet sanding - is just that. used to remove major imperfections in the clear coat after painting.
color sanding - base is sanded to an ultra smooth finish before the clear is sprayed on (ie, prep work counts for 90%) so to avoid the possibility of orange peel and give the best results.
Like I said, I'm only assuming this..... can anyone clearify whether or not I'm right???:bow
