I don't love doing engines either. Ick. But your work sure paid off. Nice job! Looks fantastic.

Thanks! I was actually very surprised with how well the polished aluminum cleaned up. Those spots you see in the pictures on the intake aren't dirty... they are etched in!

I absolutely love to see great engine details- but I too hate to do them. It's like the icing on the cake of any detail job, but if I have the option to stay free and clear of it, I'm outta there! The intake turned out beautiful btw!

I don't know what it is about engine detailing... I don't mind working in there, but I don't ever want to clean it up!

And thank you :) I attribute the intake coming out nice to the dynacone attachment to the drill. It was way faster and achieved much better results than hand polishing. Totally recommend it!

Very nice! Did you powerwash/blow dry?

If you don't mind me asking, what catch can are you running? Looks like a nice piece, and I need one for my Z06.

Looks good. What I hate doing is cleaning the hood underside. It's not really tough, per se, but just sort of a pain, sometimes not clearcoated, gets rough in winter, etc. Worth it though. Easier if it has no hood struts, so you can tilt it at 90 degrees and let the water run straight down.
