Going to dress the wheel wells and eveything this afternoon along with a few other things, everything is all original outside besides tires

Good try !

How old are you ? I like it when someone young tries his best thats a good trait of character.

I am 23, it sucks the paint is gettin old and is full of chips, scuff from things hittin it and also sucks that i don't have the cash for more expensive stuff and a PC :wall

i just hope it's half decent to everyone on here :xyxthumbs

Castrol SC is castrol super clean, comes in those purple bottles. It's a great product i use it on alot of things but it has to be diluted correctly or damage to certain surfaces can occur.

The biggest pain is doing around my trunk with that damn luggage rack or mini spolier is there :down But the biggest pain in the process is gettin the windows just right without streaks and the facct my arm is fallin off by the time i am done the cleaner, sealer and glaze then wax :scared:

Looks great - I too drove a Tempo for several years when I was going to university. A couple suggestions/tricks that I have seen work for Tempos that rust in the classic spots...

1) Sand the surface rust on the wheel well lip facing the tire, and then wash with varsol, and then use a good quality semi-gloss or flat black rust paint, potententially POR Brand, and cover the rust up...it will take that "old" look away and allow the quality of your paint to come through.

2) Remove the rims and the hub caps, again, lightly sand off any surface rust, clean with varsol, then paint with rust paint...I would again use a gloss black in this case, and then snap your hub caps back on.

I used these tricks on mine, and even with many miles, it still looked great, even with some battle scars.

Nice work on the car.

I need to patch up a small hole in the bottom corner of the quater panel right net to the tire and yah those wheel well lips, the other side i did. I sprayed with a rust inhibiting primer and then painetd over it, looks half *** :grinno: The oither side i will do the same, atleats it makes it look less ugly :D I only have center caps b/c these are actually wheels, the only place it is rusting is around the lip of the wheel.

Where do you buy MotoMaster tires?

Did you dress the tires at all? The rest of the car looks great! Just needs a little tire dressing.

Motomaster tires are the canadian tires line of tires. I am sure u have seen canadian or crappy tire mentioned before on this site :dance

I used AA on the tires and put 2 coats, it seemed to soak it up but after i took those pics i put another coat on and thier nice and black now, but it rained today so i dunno how black they still are :furious: damn rain

What is the US's equivalent of Canadian Tire ? Its nation wide chain of stores.

They sell everything from hardware, sporting goods to automotive, but has a strong automotive parts department with garages and mechanics.

Its part of the Canadian psych now.
