So I put down the collinite with a mf pad on my bmw thought I think I gave it 15 min to set before buffing off and it had 4 days to cure before 4 days of rain... I washed my car with onr this morning to wash off the bird bombs amd stuff but realized my car wasn't beading more than it usually did without wax... Am I just expecting too much?

Alexshimshimhae- Not sure what's going on....476S usually beads for months when I use it, even in torture-test conditions like when used on winter wheels. And I never give any thought to curing times or how long it is before it gets rained on.

Wonder if the use of ONR had anything do do with it

Did you mix up the ONR with (hard) tap water?

My pal with the Jag (on which I used 476S) said that ONR washing made it seem "unwaxed" too, now that I think about it :nixweiss

...great....I drop about 1.5-2 ounces of ONR into a gallon of hose water...(I thought NY water was the cleanest in the country?)

damnit...lol Accum....soooo...ummm....Griot's bougie shampoo then? (darnit i JUST bought more stuff..)

Alexshimshimhae- The water issue isn't (AFAIK) just about clean, it's also about dissolved solids. On the rare occasions I've used ONR, I've also used deionized water (even though my shop's water, which tested *very* good before treatment, is already double-filtered and softened).

I use ONR for mixng a potent QD for use on bird-bombs, but I mix that up with distilled water. No issues with that.

I think it's the ONR/water mix, but IDK what exactly is happening...residue? too strong? I just don't know enough about ONR to say.

You might start a thread titled something like "Why Does ONR Compromise My LSP?" and see what regular ONR users have to say. Not like every ONR user is redoing their LSP all the time...

Oh I just realized the lack of tight beading was even when i sprayed my car down with water BEFORE the onr wash... sorry =[ my brain isn't 100% these days
