DI water resin group buy

Hey all you CR spotless/DI water users. I've been sourcing a group by on mix bed media (tulsion) as a refill for our washers. I've found a place that will sell me a Palate of 1cuft refills (enough to refill a DC-20 CR spotless 3 times!)

The bone price of 95$/cuft thats 32$ a refill. I would only charge actual shipping costs to your home in addition to the price of the media. The box weighs 45lbs, so from Utah to Florida is an estimated cost of 58$ shipping UPS 53$ fedex 52greyhound shipping. So for less than 153$ you can have the same amount as 215$ from CR spotless.

I'm not wanting to make much money on this, just a few bucks for my gas and tape to get the items to you.

I need to get about 35 boxes sold to make this work.

Are you interested? Post a reply here if you are such.

Cheers,

GREG

One of my clients may be interested in this Greg. I'll speak to him about it this weekend and get back to you. His water tested around 280ppm last weekend when I was there and he has been using his CR for the entire wash and burning through resin pretty fast.

Hi Greg,

How will you work out the payment? Is credit card ok? I just received a shipment of 1cu/ft from CRS (since Windows101 has been out of stock of the Tulsion for months now), but I could always do with an extra bag. ....yes, I'm interested.

Thanks,

Kean

I just checked with windows 101, they got a new shipment in, but the cost is now 115+ shipping (shipping is about 35$). I think If I can get 30 units sold we can do it cheaper.

Payment, I'm not set up for credit cards. I guess I could do paypal if you pay the fees? I will also do check, and wait for it to clear???

Cheers,

GREG

....ok then. I guess I'm one of the last few who don't have a PayPal account. I'll get back to you on this.

I can't see why it'd *have* a shelf-life as long as it doesn't come into contact with water and I wouldn't expect condensation (i.e., distilled water) to count.

Well.....cause I was selling one of my spare CR Spotless refill resin on ebay a couple months back and that question had came up from a customer was when the purchase date was. I also felt the shelf life was in the years, but apparently they had contacted CR Spotless and was told that it was actually like 6-8 months if it's been exposed to air. They've since switched from the Amber resin to the Black resin from what I was told but not sure if that improved the shelf life or if what that guy told me was even true or not as I didn't contact CR Spotless myself to confirm.

Maybe there is concern regarding mildew or something similar contaminating the resin when exposed to air? ....just thinking out loud since I can't of a reason why either.

The only way I can get a group price to get more members to buy, I would have to buy a pallet of resin to get the real savings for us. The resin is in water tight bags so I think the shelf life should be easy a year.

I've also found this

Thanks Greg. I just received an e-mail from Windows 101 regarding their new system in the link you provided and noticed that it appears they are now selling the Thermax again. ....I just placed an order a few minutes ago. The price went up from $95 (now $115). Shipping may have also went up. I paid $27 last time I was able to order from them and the approx quote this time is just under $50. I guess I'll have to wait to see what it actually is (if they are indeed shipping this stuff again).
