Dg111

Last week I washed my car and decided to throw on a quick coat of wax . What I found in the garage was some DG111. I put it on , let it dry and wiped it off. I was not impressed at all with the look It lacked depth and it didnt fill anything. I fugure I would do it at a later date and it needed to be buffed anyhow. The last 2 days it rained like crazy , at 30 mph the water just blew off. I put on about 150 miles , some city and some hiway. Well its sunday and the car is still clean. No dirt stuck to the car. If they could make a wax that last and beads like DG111 and looke like NXT 2 , and Eagle Nano. We would have it all in one bottle.

Who said it would fill anything?

Now Im confused. Do you like it or not?

They do make a product (or combo) that compares in looks to NXT. It's called DG105/DG111 topped with AW. Hit the car with an Aquawax wipedown after your next 2 washes and the look will drastically improve and probably make it even slicker.

My black Acura has M21 with 3-4 coats of Aquawax spread out over a couple weeks. It's slicker than snot and I drove through 3-4 thunderstorms over the course of a week and my black paint was still outshining clean cars and looked great from 5 feet away or more (you could see dirt if you got really close to the car.

Compare that with a layer of M26 or other wax that looks filthy after only driving on a wet road AFTER it rained.

Edit: I thought I should add that I too am very unimpressed with the looks of DG105 (not tried 111 yet) as a standalone product. The durability is craziness though and very on-par with every Zaino claim I've seen. The only problem is on customer cars where it's not possible to wait 12 hours to add AW, but I want that great durability. I still haven't decided whether I"m going to start using DG105/DG111 on customer cars instead of my usual M21.

I use Collinite 845 on my wife's car, and I top it with AquaWax after each wash. I love the AquaWax, I'm just not a fan of the 111 and 105.

Yeah, the collinite will give as good as durability as DG105, but I bet it's not nearly as slick (I could be wrong.....never used Collinite). I'm a fan of the slickness which helps keep the car clean longer almost as much as the durability.

Lately it just seems as if I'm becoming more of a sealant fan than wax....I just perfer the extra slickness of most sealants.
