DG Aquawax & Megs UQW

I use DG Aquawax as a drying agent. I know it gets rave reviews but I can't really say it makes a difference. However; I heard it's great to use as a drying agent because the lubricant will help avoid scratching while drying. So is it overkill to then use Meg's Ult Quick Wax after the DGAW? (as UQW should not be used as a drying agent).

Just use DGAW as a drying agent then also as a spray wax. No need for two products. I did a test on these two products, and the DG lasts longer (beads longer) than UQW or FK425.

I agree that there's no reason to not use UQW as a drying agent. Use what you like, I just personally think having both is unnecessary.

Just yesterday I used UQD as a drying agent on my car after a wash. Even though it was cooler out, the humidity was low and the water was evaporating off the vertical surfaces pretty fast. Using the UQD helped get rid of the water spots that were forming. It also seemed to leave a 'brighter red' look to the paint than just drying it off with a MF did. If I would have had the time, I would have gone back over the car with the UQW (yes, I know it doesn't take that long to put a coat of UQW on the car, but the honey-do's called)

Why can't you use it as a drying agent? I think that's how most people use it.

I do use it as a drying agent. It appears its purpose is to use when wet and UQW is used for a dry surface. I will try AW as a spray on wax after using as a drying agent and see how I like it.

I will try Hydro next as I have another bottle of AW left. Thanks All!

No, it's a Meguiars Professional/Detailer version of either UQW or UQD (I'm not sure which one he meant).

My understanding has been that D156 = UQW in the same manner that 205 = UP and 105 = UC. Just use whatever you have access to - I don't think either version is any "better", especially the spray waxes/detailers.

BTW, is M34 Final Inspection good? My local Northern Tool + Equioment has it on the shelf.

It's ok for clay lube etc and safe for body shop use. It has been around for years and I think I have several bottles collecting dust in the back of my detailing cabinet. With new products coming out all the time I think there are better QD's out there.
