DFT Detailing products

Went to the Mecum Muscle Car Auction yesterday here in Indy, & DFT had a booth set up. Anyone know anything about their stuff?

Never heard of them until now. Found their website. They don't put up any contact information on their site, one of those "we'll call you" sites.

Did you they demo any products for you? Did you buy any?

If by DFT you mean DF Towel (Leo I believe is the guy's name) I'd stay away from him based on the stuff I've read over at Autopia. Seems he has taken some people for a ride over there. He might be all good, but there were some scathing posts regarding being left high-and-dry over there.

EDIT: Looks like it might be a different company.

Their booth had numerous products; QD, polish, swirl removers, waterless wash, etc.. They didn't demo anything, but they provided the QD's for the cars in the auction. I didn't buy anything because I'm a loyal Poorboy's customer! But I was just curious.

What restraint! :D Depending on prices, I'm afraid I couldn't have refrained from an impulse purchase of at least the QD product.

Price wasn't bad. $12 for one bottle, $20 for two.

By the way, don't know if anyone watched the auction or not, but there was a 1969 Firebird Trans Am there. 1 of 8 ever built. Original window sticker showed price back then was $4600. Highest bid at the auction was $1.1 million! And that wasn't enough for the seller to drop the reserve.

JP, missed your post. I also first thought of Leo, though I would have been a bit surprised if he had entered into products outside of the textile market.

mcate, yeah pricing is just OK (assuming 16 oz. bottles), but I would have probably pulled the trigger for a twenty. It's a sickness

If JP had been there, it would have been a tight race to see which one could get their twenty out make the exchange. LOL

I watch Mecum every time its on. I saw the car your talking about on there  All the cars look great..at least on TV. Ive wondered for a long time what products were used to prep them for the auction.

Strange how CG is so big and makes products for so many customers but yet NO ONE uses their products. :D

Makes you wonder where it all goes to don't it.

I've used several of their products and found them to perform pretty well. Out of the 6 or so various products that I've tried I can honestly say that none of them became my favorite when compared to other products that I have that were designed for the same purpose.

Beside CG having their own labeled line, do they not relabel for other car care companies? Meaning they mix the chemicals based on the customers requirements...Is this not correct??
