DF Bonnets?

Any feedback on the DF Bonnet for sealant removal? It would be used with a PC.

I know, by hand is better, and thats what I've always done.... but I'm getting lazy and just wondering if this would even compare, or be worth the money.

Feedback is appreciated.

Had the day off and I'm glad to say that both my cars are very Autopian today.

Though I rarely use mine (bought them back in 03 I *think*), they are fantastic at their intended purpose. I just find it more of a hassle to remove LSP's with the PC.

I haven't tried *that* bonnet, but IMO bonnets and removal by machine work fine. I still do a quick follow-up by hand, but using the PC/Cyclo gets >95% of it off quick and easy. Try fogging the area with your breath before you run the bonnet over it, that helps a lot.

how many mf bonnets do you use to remove for an average size car? I've got 'em but never used them; it's kind of a pleasure removing the LSP by hand. I just figured the bonnets would need to be switched out pretty often, yes?

Closest PC-centric example I can speak of first-hand: on my wife's A8 I use no more than two Meg's Ultimate Bonnets (MF) plus one CBT (final buffing) to remove an application of Meg's #16. But note that I apply my LSPs *VERY* thin.

I just used a DF Bonnet over the weekend. I reserve them for my final buffing pass. Spraying the finish down with QD while running the PC at about 3 or so works well.
