Detalied on Monday; Bad news on Tuesday

Detail time!
I just finished up detailing my own ride two days ago. The process was wash, clay, quick wash, ssr2, ssr1, pp, ex-p and then topped with natty's. I was amazed by the results. Here is a quick pic of what the result was.

Nice. But I see undressed tires! :lmfao seems bright, but the paint seems like its rich also very cool.

Dont be too picky with the finish, the pics were just taken and right now I'm not that happy to do anything to the truck..... this is why:

I was leaving a parking lot and was hit by a Ford Ranger that was backing out of a spot..... I can assure you I wasn't too happy with the driver.

One day after a full exterior detail (that took 2 days BTW)!!! The damage was estimated at $1300!!! I'm glad I'm not at fault but still very upset that my baby was damaged.

Its there..... well atleast on Monday. I'm not a big fan of the glossy looking tires on my truck..... but its there. Another thing is living on a dirt road and driving the truck for 3 days reduced the gloss a lot....

Doesn't seem like the paint is gone or scrapped, which is good. Don't worry it could have been worse! Now I see the tires =)

I was hoping of adding another layer of the Natty's and getting some really good pics of the detail, but I guess I'll have to wait for that to be done. BTW Steve.... I am very impressed with your products!!!

nice work sorry about the damage i've been there before so i fell your pain. just make sure they do a perfect job repairing it

thanks budman...as we all know factory paint work on trucks is hit or miss, but that's a nice color and it was looking real sharp:) you should also insist on new sheet metal, because a repair will just never look the same..

Looks very good! Very nice and I like that color too. Good job! I am really sorry to hear about the accident. I know how that feels.

They are replacing the fender for sure because it is out of line, but I'm not sure about the door. The orange peel isn't so bad on this factory paint and it isn't all that bad....esp. for factory. I am very pleased.

Looks like Ford wins this round...
Just kidding. I'm really sorry to hear about your truck. I firmly believe freshly detailed vehicles attract rain, bird$hit and other vehicles. As I was detailing the Ferrari a neighborhood kid on his little bike kept coming near it (within inches). It felt like he was drawn like a fly to a bright light. I hope you don't have too much trouble getting it fixed and like Steven said- insist on getting it done right!

Four months after I bought a new civic a super typhoon (175 MPH sustained winds) hit my island. The whole front end was bashed in and there were dents and scratches everywhere. And no typhoon insurance. It took me almost a year to raise funds, bring in new parts and have the entire car fixed and repainted. Now I'm a detailing freak and believe the car actually looks better than new, with a CF hood, vented fenders and other aftermarket goodies. So my advice to you is to just take the loss in stride, make the best of it and in the end you'll be even more pleased with every detail.

Thanks guys.... I really don't have a big problem with it as long as it gets fixed right and looks good. But I couldn't believe how ironic it was to happen right after a detail. Anywho :dcrules
