Well before I went back up to school after winter break I decided to really get into the small details of my car, and here are some pictures to show the shape/condition she's in. I just rolled 15,000 miles :nervous2:

Before Chip (Filled) process was to clean/prime the area first, then I used my pen to fill it in (multiple coats, 5) above the other paint..

I then proceeded to sand the area with 2000 grit, and then used an LC Orange pad with Optimum Compound (PC speed 6) and then LC White pad with Optimum Polish to finish it out)

Interior Work, I got new floor mats for christmas, I think they add a nice touch, very subtle, which is what I was after...

Vacuum, Pinnacle's Vinyl/Rubber Protectant, VM on the shifter ball, Lexol Leather Cleaner, Pinnacle's Leather Conditioner, Stoners IG, Plastx on Gauge cluster...

Wheels - Washed thoroughly, polished with Optimum Poli Seal, Topped with Acrylic Jett...Tires are wearing Megs HD 2:1, Wells got Megs HD 4:1

Engine - Engine got Megs APC 4:1, brushed, pressure cleaned, F21, Megs HD 2:1, and poli seal to hood/jambs...

Trim - One of my best tricks...I apply Collinite's 476s to all of my exterior trim, it beads incredibly and makes the trim extremely black...

Headlights - Polished regularly with VM, and sealed with Collinites 476s...

Paint - Got its usual treatment of VM and then topped with 476s

All of the pictures were taken with my new Nikon D80, with the 18-55MM....These next few shots were actually before the detail, I'm editing in CS2, and shooting in manual, with the 55-200mm, and 18-55mm...

Paste wax deliberately applied to textured black plastic .... I gotta say I learned something new here today :shocked

Hmm that is interesting. I find that sometimes it get stuck in the groves; so I usually just go for the auqa wax.

awesome stang! I never thought about applying paste wax to black trim..hmmmmm. Also how wide and what offset is that rear rim? Most of the mach1's I see the rear rim has no lip and almost looks identical to the front rim.

The rear wheels are actually a replica wheel, they are made by AFS, and are a 10.5" wheel with a 315 tire (no wheel spacer)

Thanks everyone, I try to keep her clean, but it seems like people can't appreciate other individuals property. Every time I walk out to my car at school (all it does it sit in the garage, I probably drive it once a week because I live on campus) I find my car covered in spit, I know its the same person doing it, it's been all over my windshield, my driver side window, and all of my door handle...It's really disgusting and it REALLY makes me mad. You would think people in college would be a little more mature, but I guess not.

845 and #16 also work well for this (and windshield wiper arms). You need to go thin and wipe off right away to keep it from "getting stuck in the grooves", if that's an issue on the surface you are working.
