Detailing mates cars

After the car cruise last weekend ( and having to look at my mates car which they didnt even bother to wash!! :nono ) I offered to detail my mates cars for them. This was what I was up against for one of them! :scared

And here was the bucket of QEW after I was done! :shocked

I started out by claying all the flat surfaces, followed up with 1z UPP, Menzerna IP and FP then a coat of NXT. The wheels were given a coat of AIO and Megs Natural Shine protectant.

MASSIVE improvement!

I did a second car also, but time ( and sunlight ) was against me, so hopefully I can get some good shots tomorrow.

Great job!!! I should show some of my customer's that car when they get skeptical with me using QEW sometimes!

I was gonna ask what kind of car that is too! Why does the rest of the workd get these cool cars that we here in the states can't get? like the 3rd gen MK2 MR2 from 96-99? oh well, looks sweet!

All work was done with an "Australian PC".

1z Upp - orange cutting pad

IP, FP, NXT - white polishing pad



The car is a 1995 Ford Fairmont ( luxury spec sedan ) with an inline 4L 6cyl @ 157kW. Came up ok for car of its age.



It never ceases to amaze me how muc you guys like our Aussie cars, and on the other side of the coin we would love to be able to get a Pony or a Vette without sacrificing our first-born child to afford it.

No, I dont think so. Worked very well IMO. It would have to be REALLY dirty for me to reconsider QEW, I just feel so confident in its abilities. Plus its illegal to use a hose to wash a car in Australia at the moment with the water restrictions ( which I cant see being lifted any time soon ).



And yeah, I had dinner supplied and alcoholic beverages are apparently soon to be bestowed upon me for my efforts so it wasn't exactly for nix but I wasn't really expecting anything, I just find detailing theauraputic.......
