Some of the local S2000 owners put together a wash & wax meet at the Honda dealer a few times a year and this time around I volunteered to do a detailing demo and David O. was kind enough to donate some Autopia goodies. Unfortunately, we had a high number of no-shows among the 58 people that signed up. Still, we had about 30 S2000s and one year or two old twin turbo yellow NSX in attendance.
I worked a few spots of an owner's black S2000, which is only a couple of months old but already in need of a restorative polishing and some TLC. Not really much in terms of before & afters, but I'll start with that and share some of the other pics. There were buffers holograms, swirl marks galore, a couple of deeper scratches and a VERY poor prep job by the dealer - lots of glue and leftover crud from the protective shipping plastic.
I went ahead and did "The Perfect Shine" process with Sonus clay, clay lube, polishes, pads and towels and the PC, Klasse AIO and P21S. Those few spots looked great!
Anyway, here we go...
The willing donor of a spot-polished car
We also gave away free Guide to Detailing CDs and 10% coupons to everyone.
Fun time had by all.
