This isnt really auto related, but I have a question. My two meatball dogs have brought mud in from the backyard, through the doggy door and all over the carpet in the basement. Because the basement is finished (home theater) and we do have friends over frequently, the mud stains and such must be Eliminated.
Dad and I were planning on renting one of those carpet cleaning machines from the grocery store. Does anyone know if those things actually work? My parents would rather not have the carpet cleaner come out to the house if we can get it clean ourselves. We get a ton of rain in the springtime here, so I think this may be a problem in the future as well, which would be why the carpet cleaner that we use probably wouldnt be too cost effective.
