detailing at a soccer game

Yes it sounds a bit odd, however, when you consider the options, it was the perfect solution. This is a true story that happened the other day while I was detailing a Volvo SUV at the home of one of my good customers.

Like all other detailing appointments, I had called the day before just to check in with my customer. Little did I know that the appointment was made on the same morning as their childs soccer game. I got started early, especially for this time of year and was right in the middle of the job when the door of the house opened and to my customer's surprise, there I was putting on the top coat of polymer sealant. That is when she told me about the soccer game and that she had completely forgotten about having her car detailed. Of course, the only solution was to follow her to the nearby soccer fields. When we got there a few minutes later, I made sure I handed her a half dozen of my business cards, as I was sure someone would ask about what I was doing with her car. The game lasted about an hour which allowed me more than enough time to remove the polymer sealant, wipe down the interior and do the windows. After the game, I followed her back to the house and vacuumed the interior, which completed the job. All in all, just another day in the life of a mobile detailer.

I'm sure those soccer moms have pretty dirty cars that need some cleaning!

My sister has two kids (lots of sports and activities), just did the interior of her honda odessey with kids and pets, removed 5 years of coffee, soda, juice, candy, crumb, brown traffic patches that were embedded. the interior looked like new back to a clean clean grey! Wish I had before and after pics! she could not believe all those coffee stains, and brown foot traffic were gone.

I used:

kids and pets stain and order remover

scrub brush

pressure washer (only on mats)

about 7 or 8 terry towels

Frank, I still can't believe that you don't knock on the door or call or something to tell the customer you are there working on their car. I still remember the day you did the wrong car. One of these days you're going to get mistaken for a prowler while you're looking for the hose tap and get conked with a nine-iron.
