Detailing a Hummer H2

H2's suck. Lots of paint to polish. What color is it? Yeah, you'll need a stool for the uppers for sure. Prices are always a sticky situation. I'd maybe set a parameter with the owner like $400 for a 1 step as long as it takes 4-6 hours, but $50 for each additional hour if needed. Just ball parking.

Dave, I turned it down without seeing it, I became absolutely sure I was going to be blindsided on this job somehow. I'm not fast and I could not imagine spending less than 8 hrs on the vehicle. I looked at Hummer pictures and just hated the thought of doing it, call me a wuse, but I'm 95% sure I was going to get raped.

I have only done one H2 and it took about 9 hours for a full interior and a 1 step exterior.

H2 exteriors are absolutely massive and a pain. Interiors aren't so bad, it's really just a Tahoe. Biggest pain is that it's farther off the ground to get to everything all around.

Iv ony done 1 H2 and no i will never do it again. LOL. full interior and 3stage exterior on a black H2 took me about 14 hours. over all it wasnt thaaat bad but its just a massive vehicle and the one part of the vehicle that annoyed me the most during polishing was the front end. but after the 2nd stage i realized that its a lot easier to polish the hood if you pull it open and polish vertically.
