Detailing, a dirty job?

There is no cure!
I love working on cars, but one of the things I hate the most is getting dirty. I don't care about getting how and sweaty, but the dirty fingernails and dirt kill me. I've resolved my dirty fingernail problem by using latex gloves, but when it comes to wheel cleaning, especially the insides of wheels, which require me to use a long spoke wheel brush, I get tons of back spatter leaving me looking like a dalmation...

What do you guys do?

Gloves on the real dirty areas, but its all a part of the job IMO...Since I pickup and deliver, sometimes I take a quick shower before taking the car back....at the very least I change shirts and wash up.

I'm an aircraft mechanic and get really dirty there. The minor stuff I pick up while detailing doesn't bother me one bit.

Sell your business and teach instead.
Well, that's just what I did.
I found these gloves I liked and wore them for some tasks. I also have a nail brush in the shower.

Maybe you need stronger wheel cleaner? I wear the Longer latex gloves.I aslo keep a change of clothes at the shop or just throw them in the wash here. Before delivering a car I scrub hands, fingernails & don't laugh, I always brush my teeth before meeting a customer. Bad habit??? Not really....

Getting dirty just comes with the territory. Not much I can say except have a change of clothes and a wash basin nearby.
