Detailers in Northeast look in

How do you guys do keeping work in the winter. I mostly work outside and a mobile detailiing gig is no good here. What do you guys do. Dealer work is tough too.

The "mobile" guys in Michigan don't really do anything in the winter time. They might do freelance work for shops, but there's no way they can survive in this cold. Any work has to be done inside. Dealers usually won't want seasonal help either(unless you lie). Winter is usually slower for most dealerships in cold climates too.

2nd. You really need a garage. I don't mind doing it outside if its low-mid 40s w/ no wind, but really like the use of a garage.

I also use waterless or no rinse washes and apc's for cleaning. They are a real life saver.

Where in the NE are you out of? I know its been great here in nj up until this past week when the temps really just fell off.

I live in New Hampshire and go waterless for winter (and summer too). The stuff I use is water-based and can tolerate up to freezing temps.

Funny I see this today...

I had a client call me this morning and ask if I could clean her car, I asked if she could turn the h0se on... Nope it was frozen :(
