Detailer's Domain: Rare 993 Turbo/Crystal Rock

I had the pleasure on working on another 993 Turbo, this time it was a super rare color I believe the owner from Rennlist said 2xx of these were sold in the world or was it North America, I'll have to check on that again..



The color: Amaranith Violet



Not for everyone but ultra rare!



Paint was corrected and of course the last step was Swissvax Crystal Rock.

I've never seen a Porsche in that color, but it's definitely growing on me. Fantastic job doing it justice. Is the silver 911 in the background next?
 
yup correct I was telling my customer it was about 75% there.



no clear coat on this car so there was some missing paint around the whale tail, door edges etc, he may get it resprayed eventually.

I've done one in what I believe is that color. Depending on the lighting, it will look anywhere from a medium blue to a deep violet color. Really cool looking in person.
 
Well done! If the owner ever wants to sell that car, he could likely get a premium price over in Manhattan, Kansas - that is definitely K-State Purple. :eek:
