Detailed the Teg

Seeking the perfect shine
Well, I finally got off my ass and detailed my 1999 Integra GS-R. It was a full day of detailing because my roommate and I detailed our TWO cars. They were NASTY!

It was my very first experience with Protect-All's Quick and Easy Wash. I have NEVER been SO impressed with a single product in my LIFE! It had honestly been months since my girl had a bath. The paint truly showed it! Dirt, Sand, etc was on the paint. I had NO idea HOW easy QEW made washing the car! I was excited to try it out, due to Sean (GSRStylez) recommendation. The idea of putting a wet mitt on DRY paint freaked me out! :wait But I figured, "What the Hell?" It's gonna get polished, anyway!

The pictures I have on here were taken after a second wash with the QEW. It was the week after we detailed the cars.

So, the detail consisted of:

Paint Treatment
Protect-All's QEW
Megs DACP applied with PC & Cutting (Red) Pad
WolfGang Pre-Wax Polish Enhancer applied w/ PC & Red pad
WG Paint Sealant X2 applied by hand

Wheels & Tires
Eagle 1 A2Z Wheel and Tire Gleaner
Tires Dressed with Poorboy's Bold N' Bright

I was impressed with the way the WG looked. It gave the paint a NICE gloss and seemed to really bring out the flake in the Green Pearl. The sealant went on SUPER Easy, and came off just as easy! (A characteristic I like of BOTH WG and UPP)

Cleaning the machined wheels is a bit of a PITA. So many spokes and grooved surfaces make it hard to get them really clean. It just takes a little time.

I apologize for the DARK picture. The car got finished SO late, we were out taking night pics.

TEG looks great!!!

What kind of suspension mods do you have? It looks likes it's squatting well, not too low...

I use the OXO spoke brush on my rims and it makes cleaning them a WHOLE lot easier...

So, another QEW convert huh? I tried it once and really didn't like it. Maybe I'll try it again soon...

Thanks on the compliment. She has Tokico Illuminas and Ground Control Coilover Sleeves.

Where'd you get the OXO Spoke Brush?

Looks very nice. Are you planning on a carnauba topper?

No...it's not going to any show, or anything. I MUCH prefer the acrylic sealants for a Daily Driver. I put P21S on it, once. It attracted WAY too much dust for my taste! I prefer the slickness of the sealants (WG and UPP are the favorites that I've tried).

OXO Good Grips Spoke Brush

I'll use the two bucket method for my wheels as well. One with some turtle wax soap I no longer use on paint and the other with water.

Never had a problem getting my wheels clean. But then again I wash her at least once a week...

UPDATE!!

Made a change!!

Sorry for the not-so-great pic, but I really couldn't get a good angle in the Parking Lot. :moon:
