So my car is about 2 months old, and I decided to give it a proper detailing. Since the paint is new, I didn't have any swirling to deal with, so the whole process was fairly easy. Here's what I did:

1) Wash

2) Clay (Mother's)

3) Wash again

4) Klasse AOI with PC Polishing pad

5) 4*UPP sealant by hand

6) Allow 24 hours to cure

7) P21S Carnauba by hand

I'm very pleased with the results..the car looks better than new now! Excuse the picture quality, I'm not much of a photographer. Let me know what you guys think!

Looks nice and wet. I love doing details where no paint correction is needed-always enjoyable. :)

Just a tip though, next time try cleaning and dressing those wheel wells.

2 months old and you still have temp tags on it. I thought those were only good for 30 days. Car looks great though. I've been considering trading in my 2006 Mustang GT on one of these. What year did this model come out? I have a "never by the first model year" rule.

The new 3 series came out aug-sept of 2007. So my car is still the first year of production. They have had some problems (Fuel pumps), but nothing too major. It's a great car, I love it so far.

As for the temp tags....I did a European delivery for the car, but recently got it back in the US about a week ago. So I've owned the car for about 2 months, but it's only been in the US for a week. This is the reason for the temp tags. :2thumbs:

Funny, I literally just finished reading about the European Delivery program. How was your trip?

The trip was awesome! If you're a patient person and don't mind waiting, I highly recommend it. You need about 2-3 months lead time before you get a Munich Delivery date and another 6-8 weeks to get the car redelivered to the US. I picked the car up in Munich, drove on the Autobahn (at speeds which are very illegal in the US), and cut up the twisties through the Austrian Alps. Now if that's not the right way to break in your new Bimmer, I don't know what is!
