Detailed my new 300c

After a 16 week wait it finally arrived :bounce. As I mentioned in another post I followed the advice here and told the dealer not to prep the car. At first I was told they had to, that I wouldn't be able to see out the windows. Just prior to leaving with my 300c the sales manager ask me if I was sure I didn't want the car prepped. He said he had never had a car leave his lot looking so bad. :).

It really wasn't all that bad.

Sonus Gloss Shampoo (4 times)

Blue Clay Magic (2 times)

AIO body with PC, wheels by hand

SG x2 (so far) body and wheels by hand

Sonus All-In-One on plastic.

Megs #38 Tire Gel

Autoglym Car Glass Polish (inside and out)

I want to get the windows tinted but I had what looked like suction cup marks several places inside the rear window. Stoner Invisible Glass couldn't touch, Autoglym removed in the blink of an eye. First time using it but I was impressed.

So here are the pics:

Eh, just some water spotting. Nothing a simple wash can't clean off.

Congrads. How's the HEMI treating you?

So far so good. I've had the car since last Wed but today was the first day I drove it. I wanted it looking good before I would let anyone see it.

Looks good. Very nice touch, with the engine cover. Was this a custom job or a manuf. option?

I owe all the great members here a giant THANK YOU for all the help and instructions. I would never have attempted to detail a brand new car just a few weeks ago. This one I was looking forward to. :D

Wow... I love the new 300's so much. The engine cover and especially the grille are great touches. I hadn't seen one yet with that grille, and it makes such a classy difference that I don't know why it didn't come like that factory. :bow

Roaringmouse,

That's the first picture I've seen of the 'upgraded grille' that I've heard rumors of. Really sets the car off, and was definitely worth whatever it cost.

I'm originally from Clearwater, and am impressed with the fact that I was detailing in 76 degree weather when we were there over Christmas!
