Detailed my 2003 Mazda6 i last week. I didn't do any prep from the winter, just a few quick coats of Nattys Paste Wax. This stuff is amazing!

Process:

Wash w/ Gold Class

Spot Clay

Wipedown w/ QuickShine

Nattys Paste Wax x2

Daily Maintenance w/ Quickshine

Yes, that is a scratch on the lower bumper. I guess the bumper met some road debris.

I think it turned out pretty good, especially considering I didn't do any real prep. I've tried so many products over the past several months, I can't even remember what I used before the Nattys. LOL.

I think that's the coolest car in it's size/price class, and with the shine you've got going on it yours it at the top of the heap! I love the Dali-esque look of the second picture.

Do you find you lose the blue haze in the paint?

Not exatcly sure what you mean by this statement?

The color changes depending on the light. In certain light it looks almost like a matte purple-ish color. In direct sun, the flake shimmers and in the shade, it can be almost as reflective as black. Very fun to work with.

Thanks for the replies. And, yes, there is very little marring in the paint. The last full detail on the car was just before last winter, around late October. I did #80/VM/EX-P/#16. I have clayed the car once since then and it has not seen really anything else except a few applications of S100. I really need to strip it down and start fresh but I'll probably wait until before winter to do anything major. I've gotten more compliments from friends and co-workers with the Nattys than anything else I've ever had on the car.

Next time around, I plan on doing AIO/SG and topping with a few layers of Nattys. Just debating on ordering the Blue version as I hear it's good for darker colors.
