First of, I would like to thank Angelo and Flash in helping me land this gig.

I received a message from a potential customer who lived locally and wanted me to give him an estimate on correcting his '05 Maxima. I met with him and saw that this car was covered in swirls, spider webbs and scratches.

The client explained to me that he just bought this used, and wanted it to look like it is supposed to. He was very well aware of the all the paint defects. I explained to him that I would be able to correct about 90% of it, but there were some areas that could not be corrected due to the depth of the scrathes, and previous touch-up paint.

He dropped off the car at my place the following Monday night, and will be picking it up on Wednesday evening after work.

I started on Tuesday morning at 8:00am and off I went. It was about 90*F and very sunny. Unfortunately, I don't have a garage to work in, so I knew I was in for a long day.

Great job. I bet the owner was thrilled to see the improvement.

Thanks Hemin8r,

I will find out this evening, as he will be picking up after work. The owner is a forum member, so hopefully he will let you all know what he thinks.

So what's your take on that Sonax wheel cleaner? The same as the other pH-neutral cleaners except with the groovy color change? Or better? Better/worse/same as non-HF (other) acid cleaners or caustic cleaners?

Any sun shot afters? Inspection light afters? :nixweiss

Amused,

All the shots were sun shots. Unfortunately, I don't have a garage to work in, so it is all done out in the sun. The afters were taken while the sun was out, but not overly bright at the time. As for inspection lights, because I am outside, they wouldn't show much more.

Sorry.

The Sonax wheel cleaner is my absolute favorite wheel cleaner of all time. I love P21S Gel, but the Sonax blows that away.

Maybe I wasn't clear...I meant afters with the sun positioned like this, to show full evidence of correction:

As for inspection lights, even a Brinkmann would show up on a sunny day if you don't have a 3M Sun Gun.

Good point. I should have taken more of the afters like you described. I have a Brinkman, but I find that it doesn't help much in the bright sun light.

Hello Everyone,

I am the guy with the NOW beautiful Nissan. I can't say enough good things about Barry. He is honest, intelligent, knowledgeable. patient, talented and willing to share is knowledge. I am extremely pleased with how the car turned out and Barry even put extra time into the car and cut me a great deal. I also got many cleaning tips and product recommendations. Hell, he even threw in a MF cloth and some extra cleaners to help me keep the car looking great in between details.

Thanks again Barry, and I would recommend anyone in the entire NJ area to give him a call. He did a great job and is worth traveling for. If anyone wants to ask me questions (as a customer) I would be happy to answer.
