First and Foremost, I want to thank HD Products and the whole crew for sending me the samples of Speed and Polish.
Initial Impressions:
When I first received the products, the bottles were striking and glossy, almost like the finish you could expect from using said products but to my disdain they shared a common flaw. Shampoo style bottle tops! Those items are enough to cause me to flip any tables over. But after seeing hype for the product, I figured Id keep the tables on all 4 legs.
Opening them, the seals were stuck in the caps, causing me to get a knife to fish them out (so another idea may to get the seals to stick to the bottles?)
The smells were inviting and not unpleasant like some other polishes out there (po85rd comes to mind. That stuff lingers in your nostrils too long.)

Having been told the cut is between 085rd and 205 I was intrigued. The first use I had gotten out of it was with Bryan B. on a M5. We normally would have followed up a m101 bout with 205 on a tangerine pad or white pad, but we thought we would give polish a chance. and boy was I glad. Not only did it cut out the marring from the cutting step, it finished well as well and was very pleasant to work with. The best thing about using polish though? NO FLIPPING OIL SLICK! PO85rd was so hard to wipe up while Polish wiped off with no effort whatsoever!
Being the skeptics we are we went over the area we used polish on with IPA several times and surprisingly could not find anything we didnt like in the finish.
Seeing how well polish worked, I knew i had a friend scheduled for a 1 step, so why not try Speed. It was a Ford Focus I had done a few years back that he was taking to Carlisle for a Ford Fest. Paint had seen some bad washes since then, but figured id try out Speed anyway (needed to get the car done in a decent amount of time.)
If i can get my videos edited ill update with them, but for the mean time, here are some afters of the focus.
I used a tangerine pad on my GG at speed 5, I will say at the time I didnt even think about going to a stiffer pad, but was still impressed by the level of cut on the tangerine pad. It could have used more, but it sufficed for a one step.
My Friend texted me the next day telling me that a friend had asked him when he got his car repainted. So score one for HD Speed.
Car number 2 was an 06/07 Civic SI. The car was rough. But Knowing honda paint was soft, I changed up the approach. I chose HD Speed on a Cyan pad on the GG. The cut was phenominal! Deep rids were still there, but the swirls and many other defects were gone!
Special Guests Corvette Z06
Finally the pride and joy that I got to use HD Polish on. The owner of this car is very special client of mine and had asked me to clean up a Z06 he had recently acquired.
This car came in looking neglected (previous owners fault.)
Plan of Action:
Foam with dawn/Megs Hyper wash 2x
Wheels were cleaned with IronX because Sonax wasnt cutting it at all.
D300/m101 microfiber, HD polish via tangerine pad Hd polish via Black pad, topped with BFWD.

HD Speed and HD Polish are top notch products in my eyes at this point. Having tried to remove any oils after use and not seeing any marring (making sure it didnt fill) and seeing that it didnt fill is good in my book. Only time will tell though if we need a few more IPA wipes to get it removed or not. But overall I am impressed and hope to see more products come around with just as easy of use that these products are.
